The study of Roman Documents and United States Bishops’ Documents concerning liturgical celebrations is highly recommended for continuing formation of all liturgical ministers. Study sessions are as announced.

Training and discernment, as well as an understanding of The Liturgical Documents are required to become EME. Ministers distribute consecrated wine to communicants at Mass as assigned.  Usual commitment is one Sunday mass per month.  Training sessions are announced in bulletin.

Prerequisite is to be trained as EME and have an understanding of The Liturgical Documents.
Prepare vessels needed for mass, set up gifts and credence table ½ hour prior to mass, greets with Father and lector before mass, takes consecrated hosts from tabernacle to the altar during Lamb of God and pours consecrated wine into cups at the altar.  Distributes cups to cup ministers and acts as bread minister during the communion rite.  Consumes consecrated wine and cleans vessels after conclusion of mass.  Usual commitment is one month as assigned.

Serve as acolyte assisting priest at Mass.  Discernment and training sessions are announced in bulletin.  Commitment is usually one mass per month or as needed.

Serve as cantor, choir member or musician under music coordinator to bring congregation to full, active participation in Mass.  Practice sessions weekly as announced by music coordinator. Discernment and training through study of Liturgical Documents. Commitment involves weekly practice and participation in one weekend mass and special liturgies.

Proclaim the readings of Sacred Scripture (first and second reading, psalms and responsorial, when not sung), and prayers of the faithful.  Discernment and training sessions are announced in bulletin.  Study of The Liturgical Documents of Church is highly recommended. Commitment is for one month at assigned mass.

 

Serve as usher to welcome and assist in seating parishioners if needed at Mass, take up collections, presentation of gifts to altar and releasing pews for communion.  Training is on site with another experienced usher.  Inquire at Mass with current ushers.

Ministry is taking Holy Eucharist to shut-ins, elderly and those unable to attend Mass due to health issues.  Must be EME prior to training and discernment for this ministry.  Training as announced or by request.

Work in collaboration with liturgical and music ministries in placing sacred images in church to enhance the liturgical celebrations.  Love and knowledge of art as well as an understanding of the Liturgy Documents concerning art in the church is recommended.

Two to three day Hispanic retreat held twice annually.  Vigil begins with a healing mass on Friday evening 6:30pm– 10:30pm, followed by retreat Saturday 8:00am – 6:00pm and Sunday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Information about upcoming retreats is announced at mass and at the Charismatic Prayer group on Friday nights.
